US 12 Heritage Route Longest Garage Sale in Michigan

Friday, August 10 Noon 5pm

 Saturday, August 12 9:00am to 5:00pm

Sunday, August 13th Noon 5pm

Purpose of this special garage sale event

is to promote Downtown Niles

as a center for community activities by inviting the community downtown and giving everyone an opportunity to raise money for themselves or their organization and, most importantly, showing community support. 

This year, we are again partnering with the US 12 Heritage Association to have our

Garage Barrage/Sidewalk Sales

during their annual event.

Downtown merchants are encouraged to use the space outside of their building for their sidewalk sale. 

Vacant spaces on Main, Second and Third Streets including the lower level parking lot (for those wishing to sell out of pickup trucks and vans) will be available for the public to rent to set up shop for the weekend. 

Additional areas will be opened up as needed.

The cost of a 10 x 10 sidewalk area will be $20.

Parking Lot spaces will be available for $40.

There is no cost for a current

Niles DDA Main Street district business.

You will need to supply your own table and chairs.

Come and join others for a festive weekend of

buying and selling in downtown Niles.

Booth proceeds will go toward district special event.

In consideration of the permission granted to me to participate in the US 12 Heritage Route Garage Sale on Friday - Sunday, August 10- 12, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. (set-up) to 7:00 p.m. (tear-down), I hereby waive all claims for damages or loss to my person and or property which may be caused by any act or failure to act by Niles Downtown Development Authority- Main Street, the Downtown Merchants Group, the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Niles, the US12 Heritage Route, or any sponsors or organizers of this event and all members, officers, directors of any such organizations.  I also agree to indemnify the above and hold them harmless from any liability or loss that they may sustain as a result of claims, demands, costs or judgments arising from my operation of a merchandise table at this event.

I understand that NO security will be provided for my merchandise.  Furthermore, I understand and accept responsibility for cleaning my area, leaving it as I found it prior to closing.
